Citizen Petitions
The Town Meeting Warrant is developed by the Select Board and is generally composed of items, called Articles, brought forth by various Town departments and standing committees for consideration by Town Meeting. Individual citizens can add their own agenda items to Town Meeting through the statuary device called a Citizens' Petition
Annual Town Meeting
To place an article on the Annual Town Meeting Warrant submit the petition form (PDF) to the Select Board's Office prior to the close of the warrant: Ten certified signatures are required.
Special Town Meeting
To place an article on the Special Town Meeting Warrant submit the petition form (PDF) to the Town Clerk's Office prior to the close of the warrant: One hundred certified signatures are required.
