“LOVE, DOGS” DOG PORTRAITS BY LINDA PILGRIM at Plainfield Shaw Memorial Library. Show runs during November and December 2024
Come and see Linda Pilgrim’s wonderful dog portraits at the Library. Featured are 12 of her portraits of dogs she’s had the pleasure to meet. Linda has created these the dog portraits using an Apple pencil, Adobe Fresco for iPad and other digital applications. Linda is a longtime Plainfield resident. She was first introduced to the town’s residents, parades, and suppers by her stepmother in 1978. Her education includes a B.A. and Master’s degree in Art History. Aside from creating her own art, Linda has worked as an arts writer and editor, tour guide at ICA (Institute of Contemporary Art) in Boston, studio assistant for a number of working New York City artists, and graphic designer. She has also performed curatorial work for artists, and has worked as gallery manager, and a public relations specialist for galleries and exhibitions. Linda is known throughout Plainfield as the owner of a beloved dog, Daisy (aka Miss Daisy Harper Lee) 2007-2023, whose portrait is included in this show.
